(GMA - General Mountain Award)
Aktivierer:
- Aktiviert werden können nur Gipfel, die eine GMA-Referenznummer haben.
- Das letzte Stück Aufstieg zum Gipfel muss aus eigener Kraft erfolgen.
- Der Standort des Aktivierers auf dem Gipfel darf maximal 25m vertikal und / oder horizontal von den Koordinaten des Gipfels abweichen.
- Die gesamte Funkausrüstung muss durch portable Spannungsversorgungen betrieben werden.
- Mindestens vier QSO’s mit unterschiedlichen Calls auf der Gegenseite müssen von einem Gipfel aus getätigt werden.
- QSO mit anderen Aktivierern auf dem gleichen Gipfel zählen nicht.
- QSO’s über Repeater zählen nicht.
- Der Aktivierer erhält die Gipfelpunkte auf Grundlage seiner Aktivierungen.
- Ein Gipfel kann alle 24h erneut aktiviert und gewertet werden.
- In Streitfällen oder wenn mehr als 7 Gipfel in 24h aktiviert werden, behält sich der die GMA-Administration vor, ein GPS-Log der Aktivierungen einzusehen.
Jäger
- Der Jäger muss ein QSO mit einem Aktivierer machen, in dem mindestens die beiden Rufzeichen und die Rapporte ausgetauscht werden.
- Nach Möglichkeit sollte auch die GMA- Referenznummer als Teil des QSO übertragen werden.
- Es zählt nur ein QSO mit einem gegebenen Gipfel in einer Periode von 24 Stunden für Punkte.
- Ein Aktivierer kann Jägerpunkte für QSO's erzielen, die während seiner Expedition mit einem Aktivierer auf einem anderen Gipfel fährt.
Grundsätze des GMA
- GMA- Aktivierer üben ihr Hobby im Einklang mit der Umwelt aus. Zerstörungen oder Belästigungen sind auszuschließen.
- GMA-Aktivierer gefährden weder sich noch andere. Sicherheit ist oberstes Gebot.
- GMA-Aktivierer sind als Funkamateure und Bergwanderer ehrlich, kameradschaftlich und rücksichtsvoll.
Teilnehmer des GMA, welche gegen diese Grundsätze verstoßen, können zeitweise oder auf Dauer vom GMA ausgeschlossen werden. Zur Definition von Gipfeln
Ein GMA-Gipfel muss folgende Kriterien erfüllen: Mindesthöhe von 100 Meter über NN, Namen des Berges und die Höhenangabe sind in einer amtlichen Karte vorhanden. In DL ist unter amtlichen Karten z.B. die Top50-Serie der Landesvermessungsämter zu verstehen. Für den Fall, dass Assoziationen in Ländern beheimatet sind, die keine amtliche Vermessung durchführen, sind vergleichbare Karten heranzuziehen.
Im Ausnahmefall können auch Bauwerke auf dem Gipfel mit einbezogen werden, wenn diese den Gipfel dominieren (z.B. Aussichtsplattform Pumpspeicherbecken, Aussichtsturm, ...) Es ist im Namen des Gipfels auf diesen Umstand hinzuweisen (z.B. DM/TH-012 Gr. Farmdenkopf., Plateau)
Gipfel die nicht betreten werden können bzw. dürfen, sind nicht auszuwählen (Truppenübungsplätze, Naturreservate, Privatgelände, ...). Gefährliche Gipfel (z.B. Gefährdung durch Steinschlag oder Erosion) sind ebenfalls nicht zur Aufnahme zugelassen.
Zur Referenznummer der Gipfel
Zur Zeit gültig ist folgender Syntax der Referenznummer: Präfix Assoziation/Präfix Region-laufende Gipfelnummer 3-stellig (z.B. DM/TH-003). Zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt wird die Gipfelnummer 4-stellig sein.
Hinzufügen und Streichen von Gipfeln
Gegenwärtig und in den nächsten Monaten des Jahres 2009 wird in der Regel mit dem Stand der Gipfellisten vom 01.01.2008 gearbeitet. Später können entsprechende Änderungen durch den zuständigen Regionalmanager selbständig online durchgeführt werden. Bei einer Streichung wird der Gipfel nicht aus der Datenbank gelöscht, jedoch mit dem Status "gesperrt" versehen. Bereits erhaltene Punkte bleiben erhalten, der Gipfel kann jedoch nicht mehr aktiviert werden.
Import von SOTA-Log-Daten
Um eine Weiterführung der bisherigen Aktivitäten zu ermöglichen, wird es die nächsten Monate (vorerst bis 01.06.2009) möglich sein, die SOTA-Log-Daten zu importieren. Das ist jedoch nur möglich mit Daten, die auf dem Stand der Gipfelliste 01.01.2008 beruhen. Die Punkteberechnung erfolgt nach den GMA-Regeln.
Bergpunkte
Für die Wertung der GMA-Aktivierungen wird eine einheitliche Regel zur Vergabe der Höhenpunkte über alle Assoziationen hinweg benutzt. Die Definition von Gipfeln ist ab 100 Metern möglich. Je volle 100 Meter Höhe wird ein Punkt vergeben. (Beispiele: 120M = 1 Pkt., 700M = 7 Pkt., 1299 M = 12 Pkt. usw.) Es werden im Rahmen des GMA keine Bonus-, Wander- oder QSO-Punkte vergeben. Activators
It is only possible to activate summits which have a GMA- reference number.The last metres of the climb have to be of internal power. The location of the activator on the summit is allowed to differ 25 metres vertical and /or horizontal from the coordinates of the summit itself. The complete radio equipment has to be powered by portable power supplies. At least 4 QSO’s with different calls from the other side have to be made from one summit. QSO with other Activators on the same summit do not count.
QSO’s with the Repeater do not count.
The Activator gets Summit points through his or her activations.
The same summit can be reactivated after 24 hours. In case of an issue or if more then 7 summits have been activated in 24 hour, then the GMA-Admin has the right to look into the GPS-Log of activations.
Chasers
The chaser hast to make a QSO with one Activator, in which at least both of them exchange the call and the rapport. If possible they also should exchange the MA- reference number as a part of the QSO.
A QSO only counts with a given summit in a period of 24 hours as points.
An Activator can get Chaser Points for a QSO, while the Activator on his or her expedition together with an Activator goes to another summit.
Principle of the GMA
GMA Activators are in tune with the nature while they follow their hobby.
Demolition or disturbance are to be excluded.
GMA Activators do not endanger themselves or others. Security is the most important bid. GMA Activators are as radio amateur and mountain hiker honest, companionable and considerate.
Members of the GMA, who offend against these rules can be excluded from the contest on time or forever.
Definition of summits A GMA summit has to fulfil the following criteria: the minimum height of 100 metres above sea level, name of the mountain and information of height are stated in official maps. „Official maps“ in the DL are for example the Top50-Series of the Land Survey Administration. In case that an association is at home in countries which have no Land Survey Administration, then you have to make use of matchable maps.
In an exeptional case you can also make use of buildings on the summits, if they dominate the summits (e.g. a look-out). But you have to notice this case in the name of the summit (for example DM/TH-012 Gr. Farmdenkopf., look-out)
Summits that cannot be entered or trespassed are not supposed to be chosen (for example private ground, nature reserve, training area). Dangerous summits (threat due rock fall or erosion) are also not accepted.
Reference number
Right now the following syntax of reverence number is valid: prefix association/prefix region- valid summit number 3-digit (for example DM/ TH-003). To a later date the summit number is going to be 4-digit.
Adding and Deleting of summits
Currently and in the next months of the year 2009 we work with the summit lists from 01/01/08 as a rule. Later it is possible for the manager of the region to add adequate changes himself online. In case of a cancellation the summit is not deleted in the database but has the status „closed“. Already obtained points stil exist but the summit is not possible to be activated anymore.
Import of SOTA-LOG-Data
To provide the continuation of the previous activities it is possible in the next months (right now until 01/06/2009) to import the SOTA-LOG-Data. But this is only possible with the data, that uses the summit list from 01/01/2008. The calculation of points results after GMA-rules.
Mountain points
For the evaluation of GMA activation a consistent rule is used in all associations to give points of height. The defintion of summits is possible from 100 metres and up. Every full 100 metres means one point, so 700 metres are 7 points, 1299 metres are 12 points. Within the framework of the GMA there are no bonus-, hiking-, or QSO points. These options are reserved for contests or diploma.
